About this Event

Get Started as an Entrepreneur will consist of 6 sessions of speakers if you complete the series you get a JCI certificate. This is a great programme for anyone that is interested in starting up there own business or maybe already in it and needs that little bit more. 

The purpose of this course is to give you an insight into the skills and resources needed to become an entrepreneur.

You have the opportunity to ask these experts questions at the end of each talk as we will have a Q&A session which is really valuable. 

The third session will be presented by Dr. Yuqi Shaughnessy, she will share her professional insight and entrepreneur journey as a Medical Device Engineer and in R&D space.

About the speaker

Yuqi is a Biomaterial scientist and medical device engineer. Has received multiple degrees in China and Ireland, she also completed three business diplomas. After joining Bioinnovate program in 2018, she started a research project in NUI Galway to develop a medical device with Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund. Her unique background, extensive knowledge in R&D and international connections has motivated her to pursue new challenges every day as an entrepreneur. Recently she became the Business officer at JCI Galway, Yuqi is passionate to build a larger network for young people to learn from each other and share their success. She believes the entrepreneurship should be fun and enjoyable in a well-connected eco system.
