Learn How To Debate With JCI Galway.

Debating training gives you the opportunity to learn how to express yourself and persuade others, how to think on your feet and enhance your ability to think and act strategically. These skills can be used both personally and for business too.

Within JCI, debating skills equip members to advocate the message of social responsibility, resolve conflicts, respect differences and overcome obstacles. Each year at the JCI Area Conferences and JCI World Congress, national teams contend for the title of JCI World Debating Champions. Discussing topics that range from profound to comical, contestants argue their truth, relevance and accuracy. Capacity building events like this build a foundation of teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving that members use to address issues in their local communities.

Our trainer Keira Keogh is a JCI World Debating Champion & also successful coached JCI Norway & JCI Malta to World finals. She is the JCI Ireland National President for 2019 & a successful self employed behaviour consultant.

JCI Galway Member Meetings runs regularly the 2nd Tuesday of each calendar month at 7pm until 8pm. Following the Members Meeting, we will be hosting a public training or speaker event that is opened to non-members.
